Describe each phase of the evolution for each star
1.) Using a solar-metallicity star (1.27 solar masses), describe each phase of the evolution the star goes through with a time scale. Use an HR diagram, a Kipenhahn diagram and a log pc, log Tc graph to help with visuals.
2.) With a solar-metallicity star (6.5 solar masses), describe each phase of the evolution the star goes through with a time scale and compare it with the previous star. Use an HR diagram, a Kipenhahn diagram and a log pc, log Tc graph to help with visuals. (Different diagrams from the previous hence why a different mass.)
3.) Calculate the evolution of the same star (from problem 2), but with [Fe/H] = −1. Compare the [Fe/H] = 0 and −1 evolutionary tracks for this star in an H-R diagram and log Tcvs log ρc. What are the main differences?
4.) Finally with a solar-metallicity star (55 solar masses), describe each phase of the evolution the star goes through with a time scale. Use an HR diagram, a Kipenhahn diagram and a log pc, log Tc graph to help with visuals. Explain the different evolutionary phases and how it is different from the others.
