How do the models of leadership and power presented in the background material help you understand your behavior.

Once again, we will be
considering an experience
which has personal
significance for you as a
means of understanding the
material from this module.
For this Case Assignment,
think about a situation
involving leadership that
made a strong impression on
you.
Introduction: Discuss the
topic of the paper and how
you will approach it. It is best
to write this section after you
have written the rest of the
paper.
Concrete Experience:
Objectively describe the
leadership experience. It
could be a situation where
you were in a leadership
position, or one in which you
were working under someone
else as leader. The situation
could have been a good
experience or a failure in
leadership. The important
consideration is that it is a
situation which you would like
to understand better. In this
section, strive to be objective
and stick to the facts-who,
what, where, when, and how.
Reflective Observation: Step back and consider the situation from different points of view.  How did you feel—what were your thoughts at the time? It is also critical to consider the experience of others involved.  How do you think they were feeling? Did they see things the same way you did? The key to this section of your paper is to understand the experience not only from your own perspective, but also to develop the ability to be able to look at the situation through others’ eyes. Use these different perceptions to add depth and meaning to your objective description.
Abstract Conceptualization: There are many readings and other materials explaining various models of leadership in the background section of this module. Use at least three of them to help explain the behavior of the leader and the followers in this incident. How do the models of leadership and power presented in the background material help you understand your behavior as well as how others reacted (commitment, compliance, or resistance?) Use proper citations and referencing when referring to any material from the background pages or any additional outside research. (Outside research not required, but you may supplement the background material if you choose. It should not replace the background readings and videos, but acts as an additional source.)
(Remember: The abstract conceptualization section is the “heart” of your paper. Your ability to clearly and logically apply concepts of leadership to explain your own experience is essential to demonstrating critical thinking.)
Active Experimentation: What have you learned about effective leadership from this exercise? What have you learned about how the leadership style influences follower’s reactions and motivation? What actions would you take to revise or improve upon your own leadership style and practices to be more effective in the future?
Conclusion: Sum up the main points of your analysis and the key learning you are taking from it.
Reference List:  List all references that you have cited in the paper using APA formatting.  References include materials from the required background readings as well as any outside internet or library sources you used in researching and writing your paper. If you have APA questions, refer to the optional listings on the background page.

How can your selected dilemma be addressed from a Christian worldview?

For this assignment, you will discuss how Christian principles can be applied to an operations management dilemma:
First, begin by selecting one of the ethical dilemmas below from the text:
Managing Quality (Chapter 6)
Process Strategy (Chapter 7)
Layout Strategy (Chapter 9)
Supply Chain Management (Chapter 11)
Inventory Management (Chapter 12)
In a minimum of 1,500 words, discuss the following:
Briefly summarize the issue. Note that only a small portion of your paper’s content should be devoted to summarizing the issue.
Respond to the question(s) shown within your selected ethical dilemma (i.e., within the gold box). Please do not respond to the end-of-chapter Discussion Questions.
How can your selected dilemma be addressed from a Christian worldview? In other words, what guidance from a biblical perspective could be applied to understand and possibly resolve the dilemma? The following GCU website may be helpful: https://www.gcu.edu/about-gcu/christian-identity-and-heritage.php
In addition to addressing questions for item 3 above, you may also optionally frame the issue using ethical theories (utilitarianism, Kantian ethics, distributive justice, virtue ethics, and covenantal ethics). Note, however, that the questions in item 3 must still be addressed.
Your paper should have at least six external references (in additional to any biblical citations) to help frame the issue. Cite your references within the body of your paper. No Wikipedia references are allowed.
Ethical Dilemma:
A lawsuit a few years ago made headlines worldwide when a McDonald’s drive-through customer spilled a cup of scalding hot coffee on herself. Claiming the coffee was too hot to be safely consumed in a car, the badly burned 80-year-old woman won $2.9 million in court. (The judge later reduced the award to $640,000.) McDonald’s claimed the product was served to the correct specifications and was of proper quality. Further, the cup read “Caution—Contents May Be Hot.” McDonald’s coffee, at 180°, is substantially hotter (by corporate rule)
than typical restaurant coffee, despite hundreds of coffee- scalding complaints in the past 10 years. Similar court cases, incidentally, resulted in smaller verdicts, but again in favor of the plaintiffs. For example, Motor City Bagel Shop was sued for a spilled cup of coffee by a drive-through patron, and Starbucks by a customer who spilled coffee on her own ankle.
Are McDonald’s, Motor City, and Starbucks at fault in situations such as these? How do quality and ethics enter into these cases?

The Module 4 SLP requires that you run a simulation titled: “The Platform Wars: Simulating the Battle for Video Game Supremacy.” Visit the Forio site and access the simulation.
As the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), it is your task to make decisions one year at a time. As you do so, note how key data are changing, and take note of how your pricing, changes made to royalties, and new game subsidies change your profits and your market share. You may need to go through at least one practice run of the simulation in order to become familiar with it.
At the start of the simulation, your market share is 50%. The price of your video game console is $250. Note that your competitor’s market share is 50%, but your competitor’s console price is $261.00 (hint: you are vastly underpriced to begin the simulation).
One way of becoming familiar with the simulation is to change only the value, leaving the others constant. This will isolate the impact of one variable and will give you a sense of how the change in a single variable impacts revenue, market share, etc. (use the Dashboard and the financial statements to determine this).
For example, if you leave all variables unchanged in Year 1 (price = $240; Game titles to subsidize = 3, and Royalties = 15%), your market share becomes 69% at the end of Year 1 (and my net profit is $48.0M).
In contrast, if you reduce the console price to $230, your market share will become 71% at the end of Year 1 (net profit will be $33.6M). Importantly, if you increase the console price to $330, your market share at the end of Year 1 is 58%; however, your net profit is $140.8M.
As the CEO, your task is to find the best combination of changes in the three variables that both increase your market share and earn a maximum net profit. Remember that the changes are relative; there are no right or wrong answers.
Be sure to take note of how the statements may be used to “control” your strategy. Remember that you need to cover your costs while simultaneously turning a profit and increasing your market share. For this SLP assignment, follow the assignment steps below for your three full-page paper with two scholarly sources.
Go to https://forio.com/simulate/mit/video-game/simulation/
Click on “Play as an individual.”
Enter your first name as the “Screen ID,” then click “Login.”
In this web-based simulation, run the simulation a minimum of three times, noting the changes made each year, as well as your final results. Each year, you have three decisions to make:
Determine the selling price of the video game console.
Determine the number of video games that your company will subsidize to enhance the development of new video games (and that can be played on your company’s video game console); be sure to note that the subsidy of each new game costs you $16.2M each year; and
Determine the royalty percentage you will require game makers to pay you (the higher the royalties, the more revenue you earn on new games, but the less inclined game makers are to develop new games).
Develop and discuss in your paper a table that shows the results from each simulation.
