What do the films say about the role of women in the societies portrayed?

Please look carefully at the requirements in the document and choose the second question to write the essay. Although it is necessary to write around the second question, but do not need a lot of external resources, just a little more thoughts and viewpoints, each paragraph should be coherent and not too chaotic, thank you. ( This teacher is strict in checking)
second question:
2. Compare and contrast the role of women in the two main films we have seen so far. In Even the Rain there are few, if any women characters and none take on a principal role. In Daughter of the Lake however, the women seem to be more at the centre of the story. Discuss the reasons why this might be so, and particularly whether or not it detracts from the film or is necessary to it. What do the films say about the role of women in the societies portrayed? What do they say about gender roles in general?

My professor made a comment to my Culture Project Proposal: I am missing the 3 pieces of applicable data ( statistics) regarding AA. You only included statistics regarding the unemployment rate.
So please can you add 3 pieces of applicable data towards my outline. I did add my paper in the drop box for the outline.
